This Season's Program
As winter deepens, we anchor in the hearth of tradition. Ancestral Carols gathers the timeless music of Christmas — folk carols, ancient hymns, and modern works inspired by the songs of our forebears. These are melodies carried through centuries, voices that once filled candlelit homes. Join us in celebrating a season of warmth, belonging, and light reborn.

Eric Whitacre’s The Sacred Veil is a modern requiem — an intimate meditation on love, loss, and the eternal bond between the living and the departed. We'll be joined by special guests to provide luminous harmonies in a space of transcendence. Framed with companion works of remembrance and hope, this concert asks what it means to grieve and to be held by music.
To close our season, we turn to the music of the people — songs shaped by land, labour, laughter, and longing. Of Earth and Song celebrates folk traditions that bind communities together, from the Celtic coasts to the Canadian prairies. With rhythmic vitality and heartfelt simplicity, this program honours the living pulse of music that endures across time and place.
